Sanctification is Abiding

We grow by effort and pain; growth is not a gimme nor is it handed over to us.  Sanctification does not come in a cute box with a pretty bow.  And when it is unwrapped, BLAM!—we are instantly sanctified.  Our sanctification level is dependent upon the choices that we make:  how often we talk to God, read His Word, and ACT on His Word.  If we aren’t doing these things, how much further are we in the sanctification process?  There is a responsibility that we have in this life.  Participation is required; participation with Jesus Christ in us.  Abiding (living) in Christ is the most sure way to participate in the sanctification process.  And, the effects WILL BE manifested!
