Cries of the Word

“As you submit to the Holy Spirit, obey His Word, and rely on His leading and strength, you will be drawn into close and deep fellowship with the Father and the Son.”  John MacArthur  Alone with God

“rely on His leading and strength” is so elementary, yet I can’t get it.  It is like Are You Smarter than a Fifth Grader?  Obviously, I am not!  “leading and strength” is His Word.  We cling to it for strength, and we rely upon it for direction.  The Word of God is our map book and guide for how to handle situations, yet we do not use it.  Laziness or pride wins out.  Or, we wait for the audible words/sounds from God, while the Word of God cries out to be heard, “Here am I; Here am I!!!”
