Full of It

“…and our heart flutters with an inexpressible anticipation of the joy of seeing Jesus and ‘the glory that will be revealed in us’ (Rom. 8:18).”  L.B. Cowman  Streams in the Desert

What is this “glory that will be revealed in us” that Paul talks about?  A finished work possibly?  Philippians 1:6?  If….NO…since man is NOT inherently good (only God is good), what might this “glory” be?  It is not what but Who!  Who is worthy of getting glory?

“And I saw a strong angel proclaiming with a loud voice, ‘Who is worthy to open the scroll and break its seals?’  And no one in heaven or on earth or under the earth was able to open the scroll or to look into it, and I began to weep loudly because no one was found worthy to open the scroll or to look into it.”  Revelations 5:2-4

Who indeed is worthy?

“saying with a loud voice, ‘Worthy is the Lamb who was slain, to receive power and wealth and wisdom and might and honor and glory and blessing!’"  Rev. 5:12

Jesus Christ alone is worthy of glory; He alone can be equated with glory.  And, equated He shall be….

“But if Christ is in you, although the body is dead because of sin, the Spirit is life because of righteousness.”  Rom. 8:10

“but Christ is all, and in all.”  Col. 3:11

Christ IS the glory within us today, but though “we see in a mirror dimly, but then face to face.  Now I know in part; then I shall know fully, even as I have been fully known.”  1 Cor. 3:12  We shall not only see our Savior fully but ourselves as we were truly meant to be…fully in His image!
