Proverbs 3:7

"Be not wise in thine own eyes: fear the LORD, and depart from evil." Proverbs 3:7

Life is adversity. It is a common fact of life. Our days are filled with trials and tribulations, small and large. Some tribulation can spread over weeks. I endured such an ordeal a couple months ago. Women... you got to love them. My kryptonite. God did indeed create a marvelous work in woman. Well, God was beyond gracious after my turncoat ways. I led myself astray and lost focu from God. God is good, and He brought me through the storm. Unfortunately, I'm not the brightest light bulb!

Some women are tenacious. I have a lack of willpower when it comes to women. NOT a good combination. Loss of discipline can be an ugly thing. It almost was. Contact was re-established with said woman. I thought after a hiatus that I could go back to that territory. My "own wisdom" was floating before my eyes. The problem had been previously identified. The danger was known. Wariness was laced throughout my mind. My own personal strenth and wisdom was what I was counting on! Needless to say, I might as well been leaning on a wall of thistles. No support. What made me think that I could rely upon myself when there are rebel factions within? My flesh wanted it's desire(sex). My spirit wanted it's desire(intimacy). The self can and will twist your desires; it twisted the need for intimacy into sex. I thought the trouble had been spotted externally while the whole time it was internally. The problem was not her but it was myself. Enough strength was not given to us. God planned it that way. It forces us to rely upon Him who has sufficient strength. We use ego and pride to compensate for lack of strength. Oil and water do not mix! Good and evil do not mix.

External strength was provided! Instead of two plus weeks in the dark, a day was all it took. I heeded God's wisdom. Conviction came quickly. Departation from evil came with a quickness. Sometimes, it takes a couple of times to pass that Algebra class, and when you do-you know it through and through. Remember, the questions are in OUR hearts, but the ANSWERS are in God's heart!
