Creation
CREATION
"The word creation applied to the loftiest success of human genius, seems to me a mockery of humanity, itself in process of creation." George MacDonald
Human genius is derived from God's genius. I believe God's genius and creativity are un-"scale"-able. They could never be measured. Examples are before our very eyes. Humans try to compete with God with their gidgets and gadgets. Its like comparing Major League Baseball and Little League. Not even in the same skill range. Just millenium apart.
Creation is before our eyes all around. We are all in our individual process of creation. "Work in progress" should be on all our foreheads. We witness this happening on a daily basis. Its like watching a painter work on his masterpiece on a daily basis. You don't know what the finished product will look like, but you know it will be awesome. Jesus is the Master Artist. He is working on us day by day. Narry a moment is wasted. By the Word and our daily decisions, He fine tunes us. Every choice, that is made for his glory, builds up the gifts of grace in us. Growth is continually sparked in us. Our heart is a garden. Flowers aplenty have been planted: roses(Virtue-moral excellance), lilies(Knowledge-spiritual truth), daisies(Temperance-self-control), tulips(Patience-endurance), jasmine(Godliness-godlikeness), daffodils(Brotherly kindness-brotherly love), and sunflowers(Charity-volitional love).
Now, imagine your heart truly being such a garden. Would you ever want to leave it? Sneak a peek into the ugly outside world? I think I will just stroll through my garden with Jesus. I will partake of these flowers. Bouquets aplenty will be handed out, for everytime I give them out-twofold have grown in their absence. Give forth these beautiful gifts to others. Its like handing out free samples at the grocery store. People take them, eat them, and digest them. Jesus consumed in bite-size form. He goes down to their innermost souls to contest the devil on his hometurf. People like being treated in the manner of the free sample. They shall use it, thanks to the way it made them feel. It improved their self-esteem and general welfare. They want to pass on that warm and fuzzy feeling. So, just like that, a new Jesus Gardens has been planted. He will slowly take over the Enemy's turf until he is booted off the island of our soul. Victories are won in such a manner.
Constant use of the grace that God has given us, perpetuates the creation cycle. We continue to grow and change into the men and women that He made us to be. The process of creation(Gods) has but one destination. "He that hath an ear, let him hear what the Spirit saith unto the churches; To him that overcometh will I give to eat of the hidden manna, and will give him a white stone, and in the stone a new name written, which no man knoweth saving he that receiveth it." Revelation 2:17
